NMC Review and feedback request
The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) wishes to alert you to their review of pre-registration nursing education and invite feedback on new proposals through an e-portal.
Garth Long, Professional Adviser for Education at NMC, says: “Our initial work is looking at framing generic competencies and requirements as they will apply to all nursing students. We will then be looking more specifically at the four fields of adult, children's, learning disability and mental health nursing.
"As part of this work we must ensure that we embrace key messages in relation to Children's Workforce.Our work does impact on everyone including the general public, although by its nature it is likely that those more involved directly in health and social care would have a major interest. We do hope everyone will take the opportunity to have their say.”
